Fly like an Eagle

All photographers, whether professional or hobbiest, take pictures almost daily.  We take photos of everything...some like flowers, others like landscapes, and some just take pictures of family and events to scrapbook with.  And isn't it so much easier, now that we're in the digital world?  No more screwing up a roll of film and spending the money to find out that the setting was all wrong, or you missed the shot, or worse, your finger was over the lens and you now have a nice photo of your fingerprint!

Whatever your inspiration for taking photos, you should go out into the world and try something out of your comfort zone.  I'm not a bird photographer.  I normally only take shots of birds when they are pretty or I like the setting around them.  But, yesterday, I had the opportunity to take photos of some Eagles that have been hanging out at a pond nearby my hometown.  I didn't have the right equipment (as I'm used to taking picutures of people who are right in front of me), but when I saw these amazing birds I just starting firing off shots to see what I could come up with.  So, here are two photos that I thought turned out pretty well.

You never know what sort of photo you will end up with unless you go out and try.  Sometimes those photos that you take that are just a little different that what you would normally start snapping...might be the ones worthy of being turned into a piece of art and hung on your wall.

It's Christmas Time

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2012!

With that in mind, I thought it only appropriate to start my new blog for StudioK Photography with the start of the new year.  Here, I will share with you photos from everyday life, ideas of photos you can take, and some of the great photos I will be taking throughout the year of my wonderful clients.

Enjoy!
